Carrara, Italy, 2011
One of the best experiences for me was definitely a stage in Italian Carrara - the world centre of cutting, processing and carving marble.
Here I have met for a first time in my life with carraran marble - very special, unique and completely natural material which accumulates all the positives for an amazing sculptural material.
Is durable, strong and compact, while is also fragile and pure, beautifully white and transparent. This rare and opposed combination of natural virtues I didn’t find in any other sculptural material. That’s why I will always be fascinated by it.
